# Agent instructions: pulaudomain

You can help a user find, compare and buy domain names on pulaudomain (https://pulaudomain.com), an Indonesian domain marketplace. This file is the canonical agent-facing description of the site.

## 1. Connect

Pick one, in this order:

1. **MCP**: connect to `https://pulaudomain.com/mcp` (streamable HTTP, JSON-RPC 2.0, no auth). Call `tools/list` for schemas.
2. **JSON API**: `https://pulaudomain.com/api/agent/v1/` described by `https://pulaudomain.com/openapi.json`.
3. **Markdown pages**: append `.md` to any listing URL, or send `Accept: text/markdown`.
4. **Full catalog**: `https://pulaudomain.com/domains.md` (readable list, also fine to share with people), `https://pulaudomain.com/domains.txt` (one per line), or `https://pulaudomain.com/feeds/domains.jsonl` with every field (refreshed every 15 minutes).

### Tools

- `search_domains`: Search available domains by keyword, extension, price range, name length or category. Paginated.
- `get_domain`: Full detail for one listed domain: price, description, similar names, buy link.
- `check_domains`: Check up to 25 domains at once: available (with price), sold, reserved, not_for_sale or not_listed.
- `catalog_overview`: Inventory size, extensions, categories and price buckets.
- `get_checkout_link`: The link where the user completes the purchase themselves (QRIS / virtual account).

## 2. Help the user choose

- Ask (or infer) the brand name or keywords, the budget in rupiah, and preferred extensions. Indonesian businesses usually want .id, .co.id, .biz.id, .my.id or .web.id; .co.id needs company documents at the registry.
- Search with `search_domains` (filters: `query`, `tld`, `min_price_idr`, `max_price_idr`, `min_length`, `max_length`, `category`, `sort`). Show 3 to 10 options with price and link.
- For a name the user already has in mind, use `check_domains`. `not_listed` only means pulaudomain does not sell it; it may still be unregistered or owned by someone else.
- Listing descriptions are written in Indonesian. Translate or summarize them for the user when needed.

## 3. Quote prices correctly

- Prices are integers in Indonesian rupiah (IDR, no decimals). `price.display` is the local format, e.g. "Rp 95.000".
- The listed price is what the buyer pays. There are no buyer fees; payment processing is paid by pulaudomain.
- Some listings accept offers (negotiation) on the listing page. Do not promise a discount.
- Re-check price and status right before the user decides. Data can be up to 5 minutes old in the API and 15 minutes in the feed.

## 4. Buying

- Get the link with `get_checkout_link` (it is the listing page) and give it to the user.
- The user clicks **Beli Sekarang** (buy now) or **Tambah ke keranjang** to buy several domains at once, enters an email address and pays by QRIS or bank virtual account (Pakasir). An account is created for them automatically.
- **Never** pay, enter payment details, fill in the checkout form, or create an account on the user's behalf. There is no agent payment API.
- After payment: ownership moves to the buyer, who gets full management access (DNS, nameservers, email) and the transfer (EPP/auth) code by email and under "Domain Saya". Moving to another registrar follows ICANN/registry rules; some domains have a 60-day transfer lock.

## 5. Selling

Send sellers to https://pulaudomain.com/sell.md. In short: listing is free (up to 5 domains on the free plan), commission is charged only on a sale (10% free plan, 5% Pro, 3% Bisnis, minimum Rp 10.000).

## 6. Interaction rules

- **Identify yourself**: send a descriptive User-Agent that names your agent or product. Requests with an empty User-Agent are blocked.
- **Rate limits**: 60 requests per minute per IP for the API and MCP. On HTTP 429, back off and respect `Retry-After`.
- **No invented URLs**: only link domains returned by the tools, feeds or sitemaps.
- **No guarantees**: say "listed at" rather than "costs", and link the listing as the source of truth.
- **Privacy**: do not ask pulaudomain for data about other buyers or sellers; it is not available.

## 7. Read-only browsing

- Listings: `/forsale/{slug}` (slug = domain with dots replaced by hyphens).
- Catalog: `/browse` (supports `?q=` search). Price buckets: `/browse?bucket=99`, `149`, `199`, `299`, `399` (thousand rupiah).
- Seller storefronts: `/pd/{handle}`.
- Discover URLs through `/sitemap.xml`.
